SPORTS MEDICINE
It is the mission of the College Station ISD Sports Medicine programs to provide quality health-care to athletes of College Station Independent School District as well as to lay a foundation of sports medicine knowledge for student athletic trainers interested in a career in athletic training or other sports medicine fields.
Athletic Trainers are licensed by the state of Texas and certified by the National Board of Certification. They are here to ensure that student-athletes of this school district have the highest care when it comes to their athletic injuries. ATCs will actively participate in the prevention, treatment, and care of any athletic injury that occurs to your child during their participation at College Station HS.
College Station High School employs 2 full-time staff Athletic Trainers that work with all Cougar student-athletes. Athletic Trainers (ATs) are allied health care professionals who provide services including injury/illness prevention, emergency care, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Staff athletic trainers work closely with team physicians, other physicians in the community, coaches, and parents to ensure the health-care needs of the injured athletes are being met.
